Electric Monday’s

Trying to add some excitement into my Monday Blues vibe. I’m really not a blue fan for my closet, especially such a vibrant blue but l needed a pick me upper! My feet got cut off in the picture so l have them their own individual shine 🙃

This black & white blazer is on of my favorite “work blazers” because is can be paired with any solid.

Corporate Look Tuesday

So I’m rushing home from work to catch the sun for these pictures. I wouldn’t say it was an epic failure but l was definitely loosing natural light. Thank God for iPhone editing! 😅 

About my look... l got this really cute rose pink bell sleeve blouse from Discovery Clothing. I actually bought this in the store but here is their website (https://www.discoveryclothing.com/service/store-locations/) l always pop in there every now n then because it’s a trendy store. But, if you know me my style has more of an vintage vibe but in everything you must have balance, right?! On one of my online “eye-shopping” 🤫 nights l went browsing through Expeess website https://www.express.com/ (l looooove there corporate pants) and found these burgundy highwaisted tailored ankle cut pants with pink polka dots!!! Although this was a eye-shopping experience l couldn’t let it pass me. My shoes were purchased some time ago and l can’t remember from where. Don’t judge me! I’m working through my issues 🤣. Everyone who knows my knoooows I’m an accessory Queen but because this was for work and my blouse is my statement piece l decided on a simple tied black necklace and some cute little purple spiked earrings. Vhernier Jewelry Showcase

I can never refuse an invitation to participate in fashion launching. The jewelry collection by Vhernier was absolutely breathtaking. Vhernier represents the finest in Italian jewelry with an unique collection that has been influenced by trends in contemporary art. My favorite piece and one of Vhernier’s most celebrated brooches The Granchio this is going to be mine one day. Claiming it! Just giving some affirmations why l blog 🙃. It’s 18k white gold, chrysoprase, rock crystal and what we ladies love the most... Diamonds💎. I was drawn to this piece mostly because green is my color for 2018 and my zodiac symbol is a crab. #crablife 🦀! Prom Styling

My first prom princess 👸!!! Mom was looking for an original dress that would match her daughters vision for prom. l have a serious obsession with reconstructing my clothing or just simply possessing original items so much that it helps me to keep permanent hole in my pocket 🙃 and a great relationship with several designers in my community. I am also a true believer in supporting my community✊🏾. Beunapolgetic (Glitter Agency) has designed casual clothing for me in the past but she also has a season when she slayyyys prom dresses. She’s the Winner!!! 

We worked with the inspiration pictures and alterations that Mom wanted. We went over some accessory ideas and based on what “my princess client” felt best suited her style.

Princess and l went through my top 3 picks for accessories and she picked the one she liked the most. Mom did an awesome job looking for these items at the mall!

Mom handled the hairstylist and l scheduled the makeup artist. The amazing SueB_Beauty (IG handle) slayyyed her face naturally! 

At the last fitting we took all the accessories for the big night and every detail fell right into place. Doesn’t see look amazing?! Look at that genuinely happy expression on her face. This was the Best part for me... She was beaming!!!! Granted, any stylist would say seeing the client happy is the best part but seeing this particularly special young lady extremely happy and satisfied meant evertything to me!

Special shout out to Mom and Dad they made sure their daughter got exactly what she wanted; she deserved every bit of it. I’m so grateful l was apart of this journey for Princess Deja! Here’s to being “Originally You” 💜

Vintage lover

Let’s just say l’m a lover for vintage, antique, classic items. I thought this camera was so dope! Even tried to negotiate buying it from big Daddy but he wasn’t having it. 

Let’s goooooo shopping!!!!

This was soooooo much fun! Queen V called me up for shopping services for a themed bridal shower coming up. Themes give me liiiife 🤸🏾‍♀️. I usually organize a 30 minute consultation with all new clients, we get to know eachother briefly and I’ll ask general questions to connect with your style. I listen out for any overall goals that the client may mentioned in our consultation and try to add those to whatever the shopping goals are for that fitting . She mentioned she wanted to get some new items for her wardrobe so 📝 #mentalnote. I told her to meet me at one of her favorite stores TJ MAXX at 6pm. My goal is to have every client feel special... For me this means making sure that i am fully prepared so my client has my full attention. So I’m there early enough scoped out the store, set the tone, annnnd shop of course. Duh! Lol Everything was set she had a few items for her event and based on her style type (before meeting MitzD) l picked out a few “out of her comfort zone” items as well. It’s important that my clients can take themselves out of their fashion zone. Ms.V arrived on time Hunty (gotta love an on time client) we hugged and while in conversation l walked her to the fitting room i had already set up for her. She was extremely happy she didn’t have to stroll through each isle of racks and pick out looks with me. Based on our consultation l knew she would appreciate eliminating this part of the shopping experience. 😉 After about 40 mins of trying on clothes we were done. This beautiful Queen had her outfit for the event; this includes shoes and accessories. Plus! 5 random pieces out of her comfort zone and two pairs of shoes!!! Here is the best part... You ready... This was all WITHIN HER BUDGET!!! Winning! Now you understand the beautiful smile on her face, another satisfied customer. That’s my boo now by the way. I love my clients... stay tuned for some of her outfits,  hand picked by me. 

Last minute Styling

My beautiful client hired me a few days before attending a wedding event and was a bit concerned how this would be pulled off since she has a young child and works a 9-5 job. She advised she would have no time for shopping with me. So l assured her l can do this on my own and bring the items to you. So we played dress up in the privacy of her own home. Concierge service is key for some clients. I think her daughter liked it too! 🙃 She already had the rosey tulled skirt in her closet and the burgundy studded pump shoes. I paired her closet findings with a baby pink embroidered mesh crop top and a super cute black sequined “girls rock” purse. She loved her outfit. I watched her spin around in the outfit, ask her babygirl if Mommy looks pretty and taunt her husband by saying “Baby, wait till you see me”....This is why l style. This is my reward.
