Weekly Coporate Looks!

 Day 1

I was so nervous about coming to work today. It's my 1st day!!!!! I haven't been in Corporate America in over 8 years. Thanks to my older sister I look smashing today though. She came down from Philadelphia for the weekend and brought me some work attire. I'm not really a dress girl, but I love the way this dress shows off my curves. The dress is white, pink and black which gave me a lot to play with. I had a choice of nude or black shoes, but decided to go blue just because I like the combo of blue and pink. I don't have many blue accessories, luckily the blue can stand on it's own. Pearls are always an easy pick when dressing corporate, along with some gem studded earrings.
Oh Yes! Here is another tip for your first day...
I woke up extra early this morning, so that I could meditate before coming to work to set my day up for success. Thanks to a good friend of mine, suggesting that I meditate before work.  Meditation sure does help to ground and calm me down, which important in a busy office. I also rubbed some lavender under my nose for aroma therapy. It's an excellent relaxer for me and everyone who smells it on me. I don't feel nervous anymore, yet excited more than anything. The view up here is amazing! I look good and feel good! Here's to a stellar first day! I am more than ready! ;)

Day Two
Since I knew I would be in orientation today I decided to leave my suit look for when I am at the front desk. I am wearing a printed (very busy) blouse from Forever 21. I usually wear this shirt with jeans to tone done the outfit but I am working in Corporate America these days and they have a "no jeans" policy. I switched my jeans for these New York And Company high-waisted tan trousers. I love this store because they cater to tall, regular, petite sized women. My earrings are from a vintage boutique in New York called Classy's. My necklace believe it or not are from Old Navy's sale rack. Now usually I would suggest when wearing a printed top not to do too much with accessories but I am a accessory Queen and can not help myself. For those who like to keep it simple gold studded earrings with a thin gold necklace or again pearls are a easy accessory for corporate looks. My shoes are black panten leather open toe Van Eli pumps. This outfit is more of a casual look compared to what I wore yesterday. If your company has dress down Friday's (with a No jeans policy) this look would be appropriate. Maybe even a Thursday look you know...count down till Friday outfit :-).

Day Three
As I learn my duties at this new job I realize I am the 1st face clients see when coming to their meetings. So going through my wardrobe this is what I keep in mind. I am looking for bright colors or prints so I make an impression before opening my mouth. I choose these cute hot pink boot cut trousers with a black and white polka dot blouse. My pink pants were a gift so I'm not sure where they came from (sorry) but my black n white blouse is from Conway. All my New Yorkers know about Conway :-). I felt like my outfit wasn't complete so I added my tailored white blazer from Banana Republic. This blazer make the outfit very crisp, lets just label it as the statement piece of this outfit. As I said earlier I was looking for more color so I choose to wear my blue pumps (purchased on piperlime.com). I am an accessory Queen (as I've mentioned before)so my neon color block bracelet selection also bought at Old Navy's sale rack. Decided to tone done my earrings by wearing Juicy Couture gem earrings. This look will draw attention but I promise you will like it. I call it the pick me upper corporate look. Many compliments will come your way. Every women loves that :-).

Day Four
Ok, so I don't know about anybody else but Thursday is always the hardest day for me. It's like my body knows Friday is approaching and can't wait for dress down Friday. My pinstripe wide legged trousers are from Old Navy another favorite of mine. Because the stripes are cream and brown and earth tone blouse would go nicely with these trousers. I usually wear yellow but I am in love with this olive colored silk blouse by . Dark brown pumps would be ideal but when you don't have perfect you improvise. So I selected my cream Nine West pumps. So Comfy!!!! There is nothing better than a great pair of cute and comfy pumps. My accessories are cluster studs by Old Navy (can you tell I love this store). Choker necklace by Juice Couture, brown leather watch straight from Thailand, charm bracelet also by Juice Couture and my rustic gold cuff bracelet by Forever 21. They olive colored blouse give me an antique vibe so I did a two strand braid around my head to complete my vintage/corporate look.

Day Five
So it's finally Friday. I didn't really care what I was wearing I just wanted to be in flats. I wanted to brighten up the office with something full of spring. I choose this vibrant green high cut blazer from Discovery matched with a printed A-line skirt from Charlotte Rousse. A simple white tank top will go with this look, nothing crazy. Because my blazer is a bright color and my skirt is printed I choose nude flats. I am ready for work and ready to start my weekend!! I hope this was helpful to you all.
