Prom Styling

My first prom princess 👸!!! Mom was looking for an original dress that would match her daughters vision for prom. l have a serious obsession with reconstructing my clothing or just simply possessing original items so much that it helps me to keep permanent hole in my pocket 🙃 and a great relationship with several designers in my community. I am also a true believer in supporting my community✊🏾. Beunapolgetic (Glitter Agency) has designed casual clothing for me in the past but she also has a season when she slayyyys prom dresses. She’s the Winner!!! 

We worked with the inspiration pictures and alterations that Mom wanted. We went over some accessory ideas and based on what “my princess client” felt best suited her style.

Note* Pinterest will change your life, no matter the situation. Makes my concept conversations so much easier. We founds shoes, clutch, earrings, necklace, hairdo, annnnnnd makeup look. 

 

Princess and l went through my top 3 picks for accessories and she picked the one she liked the most. Mom did an awesome job looking for these items at the mall!

Mom handled the hairstylist and l scheduled the makeup artist. The amazing SueB_Beauty (IG handle) slayyyed her face naturally! 

At the last fitting we took all the accessories for the big night and every detail fell right into place. Doesn’t see look amazing?! Look at that genuinely happy expression on her face. This was the Best part for me... She was beaming!!!! Granted, any stylist would say seeing the client happy is the best part but seeing this particularly special young lady extremely happy and satisfied meant evertything to me!

Special shout out to Mom and Dad they made sure their daughter got exactly what she wanted; she deserved every bit of it. I’m so grateful l was apart of this journey for Princess Deja! Here’s to being “Originally You” 💜
